Performance

Under the hood of the 2021 Subaru Forester is a 2.5-liter flat-four engine, which puts out 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque, and it is pinned to a continuously variable transmission for a smooth driving feel. With this powertrain, the Forester achieves about 26 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway. That's better than most compact crossover SUVs.

The Premium model or higher, Subaru adds-in addition to standard all-wheel drive for peak performance on slippery surfaces-hill descent control (for a safe drive down without the need for applying the brakes) and X-Mode (for optimizing traction).

Interior

The 2021 Subaru Forester seats up to five people with its two cloth-trimmed rows. If you go with the Premium trim, Subaru replaces the urethane on the steering wheel with leather and adds 10-way power adjustability on the driver's seat.

At the Limited trim level, the Forester swaps the cloth seat trim with leather. The aptly named Sport has sporty front seats that come with orange contrast stitching. Only the Touring has rear-seat heating, steering-wheel heating, and an eight-way power-adjustable front passenger seat. You'll take on the day in Wesley Chapel in your new Subaru Forester.

Comfort and Convenience

With its 6.5-inch touchscreen, the 2021 Forester model's StarLink multimedia system combines a four-speaker AM/FM stereo system, HD Radio digital tuning, a single-disc CD player, Bluetooth wireless connectivity for hands-free phone calling and audio streaming, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto smartphone integration, two USB ports and an audio jack for playing media from or charging mobile devices, and trial subscriptions to SiriusXM Radio and SiriusXM Travel Link.

At the Premium trim level, the StarLink system gets two additional speakers and a Wi-Fi hotspot for 4G LTE Internet access. The Premium welcomes proximity keyless entry and push-button engine start for more convenient access and engine start.

The Sport trim level gains two charging-only USB ports in the rear, and a color screen replaces the monochromatic multifunction display.

The Limited trim level gains a power liftgate, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, and an eight-inch touchscreen that replaces the standard 6.5-inch interface. Only the Touring gets navigation, a trial subscription to SiriusXM Traffic, and a nine-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.

Safety

For driver assistance on the 2021 Forester, Subaru provides the EyeSight suite, which consists of adaptive cruise control to set a safe following distance, sway warning as a driver drowsiness detector, pre-collision braking, and throttle management to help prevent or mitigate front-end crashes, lane departure warning to warn you of leaving your lane without signaling, and lane centering assist to keep you centered in the intended lane of travel.

Also standard on the 2021 Forester for driver assistance is a rearview camera for flashing a video image to watch out for what and who is behind you when moving in reverse. Seven airbags-a driver's knee airbag, two frontal impact airbags, two side impact airbags, and two side curtain airbags-are present for crash protection.

You'll feel confident no matter where you go in Hillsborough County.

Test Drive

We invite all Riverview and Temple Terrace drivers to visit our dealership to give the 2021 Subaru a test drive.
